The High Priestess (II)

The High Priestess is telling you to trust your intuition and follow gut instincts, even if you don’t like what they are telling you. We often know deep down what is best but choose to ignore it, the High Priestess is asking you to follow it.

The High Priestess represents the link between seen and unseen, dark and light. She communicates with the spiritual world and brings a message of an unrevealed future, or hidden influences at work. You should pay close attention to your dreams and what they may be trying to tell you. Take note of the details, they may be of importance.

If the card appears upside-down it may indicate: conceit, sensual enjoyment, accepting surface knowledge. The refusal to listen to the inner voice, to see further than what is on the surface because you refuse to believe it.

Friday already! Where did the week go? Hope you are enjoying getting to know your Tarot a little better. Of course these descriptions are abbreviated versions. There are many books and websites that give many more details if you want to go into more depth.

Have a great week!

    Get to Know Your Tarot

The magical and mysterious world of the Tarot has been around to guide us for hundreds of years. It is actually unknown exactly when the Tarot appeared or where it originated. There is much controversy about its birth but one thing is for such it was not invented by the poor. The first Tarot cards recorded were painted on parchment, or thin sheets of ivory, silver or even gold.

In this section I will help you get acquainted with the meaning of each Tarot card. Every Friday, I will present a new card starting with the Major Arcana. There are a total of 78 cards in the Tarot, though 22 in the MA, which is believed to be symbolic of the human experience.
