Picture
Contemplation, solitude, knowledge, caution and prudence; those are the qualities the Hermit advises. This card speaks of the need to think things through, it warns not to rush into anything; some elements have not yet been revealed which may have an impact on your final decision. You need to look at the whole picture before taking action.

The Hermit is also strongly connected to all aspects of spirituality. Search inside yourself for a clearer picture. This card suggests you find something that will help shed some light on your situation and guide you in the right direction; whether it is religion, spiritual belief, philosophy or a pursuit of knowledge.

The Hermit often appears when you are going through a difficult time in your life and you may be feeling very much alone in your situation. This card is urging you to seek guidance.

The Hermit could also represent the quest for knowledge or learning and encourages you to take on an educational project.

On the other hand this card could be stressing the importance for self denial, denying your own needs for the greater good of others. But the Hermit warns you not to see yourself as a
martyr, set your ego aside.

If the card appears upside down; it may be suggesting a refusal to listen to wisdom,  immaturity.

    Get to Know Your Tarot

The magical and mysterious world of the Tarot has been around to guide us for hundreds of years. It is actually unknown exactly when the Tarot appeared or where it originated. There is much controversy about its birth but one thing is for such it was not invented by the poor. The first Tarot cards recorded were painted on parchment, or thin sheets of ivory, silver or even gold.

In this section I will help you get acquainted with the meaning of each Tarot card. Every Friday, I will present a new card starting with the Major Arcana. There are a total of 78 cards in the Tarot, though 22 in the MA, which is believed to be symbolic of the human experience.
